Is TubePull safe and legitimate?
Last verified 2026-07-25. Everything below reflects how the product actually works — no unverifiable security marketing.
Who operates TubePull
TubePull is built and operated by Mike Walker (Founder) through Moondust Studios LLC, a Florida, USA company operated from Orlando, FL, USA. Subscription-funded. No advertising, no affiliate redirects, no resold data. The free tier is funded entirely by paid Pro subscribers. There is a real About page naming the operator and a contact page for support, billing, and legal notices.
What happens to your downloads
- No permanent media library. TubePull is a downloader, not a cloud-storage or media-library service, so it does not keep a permanent, user-accessible copy of what you download. Preparing, delivering, retrying, or speeding up a download can create temporary copies on TubePull's systems; those delivery copies expire automatically and are not offered as a saved library. MCP downloads are made available through a signed link that stays usable for a limited time and then expires automatically.
- Request metadata is logged. Every download request IS logged (submitted URL, video ID/title, format, quality, requesting IP, approximate IP-based geolocation, timestamp, and success/failure) for rate-limiting and abuse prevention. Signed-in users can view and delete their own history.
- Retention schedule. Anonymous request logs are retained on a short schedule; proxy routing metadata ~30 days; billing records ~7 years (tax/accounting law). See the Privacy Policy for the full schedule.
- What we do not collect. No sale of personal information; no device GPS/precise location; no full card numbers (those go directly to Stripe).
The important distinction: the downloaded media is transient, but the fact that a request happened is logged for rate-limiting and abuse prevention. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Transport & payments
- Transport. The site is served only over HTTPS. There is nothing to install and no browser extension, so there is no local software that could be tampered with or bundled with adware.
- Payments. Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe. TubePull never sees or stores full card numbers — card data is submitted directly to Stripe, the payment processor.
- No ads or trackers-for-sale. The free tier is funded by paid Pro subscribers, not advertising, affiliate redirects, or resold data.
Honest limitations
No downloader can promise it will work on every URL forever. Source platforms change how their content is served, and a link that works today may need a fix later. TubePull also does not remove the responsibilities that come with downloading: it cannot grant you rights you do not have to a given video.
Lawful use
TubePull is for downloading content you own or have the right to download. Downloading copyrighted content without permission may violate the source platform's Terms of Service and copyright law. Users are responsible for their own compliance.
